Great service, and the food is out of this world, fresh and full of flavor. The place is clean, open and full of light. If you haven’t given this place a try I will suggest you do. We will definitely come back!!

This place exceeded any expectations I had! We’re new to Texas and one thing we miss more than anything coming from NYC is authentic Dominican food. From the moment you walk in there’s a replica of what a typical house in DR looks like; and honestly coulda have been mama’s front door— and hear bachata playing subtly in the background and all the delicious smells of some great food! You can tell that the owner is a chef who truly cares about sharing this amazing cuisine with the people. We had mofongo con camrarones, and bistek con habichuelas y arroz blanco. It was honestly so good it brought me to tears. The authenticity and quality is by far the best restaurant of any cuisine we’ve had in Houston. Not to my surprise he was actually in the back overseeing the quality of food coming out of the kitchen! I was honestly amazed and can’t wait for our family to visit from NYC and DR to take them here! We will 1000% be back and telling all our friends! Thank you El Sabor Caribeno, we honestly finally feel like Texas is home!

How may I say this? This place is really a great place if you want some Caribbean, Dominican, or just Latin food in general. We actually came around 9:30 PM, and they closed at 10 PM, but they still served us! My family and I were really grateful they took care of us and in a timely manner. Thank you for everything. As well, we were so amazed by the food and service. My wife ordered a Bistec En Cebollado, and I ordered a Salcocho! The flavors were on point!!

My family loved the experience. The waitress Nelsy was super friendly and informative. The food was wonderful. We all ordered something different and enjoyed. The flavors reflected the authentic Dominican cuisine. Portions are big so come hungry !

Service was amazing and food was delicious. Elizabeth was so welcoming and kind. I ate the mofongo with shrimp and langosta (coconut sauce) it was delicious. husband had the mofongo de rabo.... Juicy/tasty and super filling.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was back home. This place is the real deal—authentic Dominican flavors that took me straight back to my roots. The food was absolutely incredible—perfectly seasoned, made with love, and every bite reminded me of meals from my childhood. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. This restaurant is something special. The moment I tasted the food, I was transported straight back to my roots. The beans had that deep, rich, homemade flavor you just don’t find everywhere—it tasted like something straight from my Mami’s kitchen. And the mondongo? Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of that traditional sazon that makes your soul happy. The whole experience was a beautiful reminder of home. Can’t wait to come back! I came all the way from Sugarland to enjoy the real deal of authentic Dominican food!
